CultivaTeen Roots is an online community and platform that empowers caregivers (including mental health professionals, educators, parents/guardians, or any other individual or organization who supports adolescents and their parents/guardians) of adolescents to navigate the complexities of raising teens in the 21st century through supportive guidance and practical strategies, developing stronger relationships, as well as encouraging personal reflection and growth to positively impact the next generation. Our online platform offers a foundational video course (tentatively titled Making AdoleSense), which helps build knowledge and confidence in understanding the teen brain, creating effective communication and connection with teens, and setting boundaries and fostering independence. The video course also includes accompanying PDF resources, reflective journal prompts and activities, as well as; access to a private online community where members can connect with other caregivers of teens and experts in the field. Additional learning modules will be available, which will provide specific content on pertinent topics, including, but not limited to, Social Media, Substance Use, Gender Identity and Sexuality, Neurodivergent adolescents, and Preparing for College and Career. In addition to our training modules, CultivaTeen Roots provides interactive learning opportunities for caregivers including zoom sessions that include talks from professionals in the field and expert panels. CultivaTeen Roots operates as a one stop virtual location to provide non-judgemental support and growth opportunities for anyone who loves and cares for teens.
